Becoming a physician is challenging enough, but Dr. John Rhodes has proven that overcoming dyslexia is not insurmountable. Despite scoring low on the MCAT reading section, Dr. Rhodes has achieved remarkable success in his medical career. He performs procedures for children and adults with congenital heart conditions and has an impressive academic and professional background.


Dr. Rhodes Graduated with honors from North Carolina State University and earned his medical degree from Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Rhodes is also an advocate for individuals with dyslexia and has shared his inspiring journey through platforms like TEDx, emphasizing resilience, affective strategies, and perseverance in achieving goals despite significant obstacles
